2017 is already upon us, and we’re excited to kick off the new year with a new partnership. We’ve teamed up with the leading professional body for all established or aspiring hotel managers: the Institute of Hospitality. Throughout the year, we’ll be working together to inform the industry about online hotel marketing, the online distribution space, and traveller trends and insights.

Why are we working together?

As a leading global hotel metasearch, trivago has plenty of insights and advice to offer the industry. The data we collect from the 1.4 billion annual visits to our sites yields significant information about travellers’ behaviour. They have an exceptional portfolio of membership services, and indeed, the interests of the hotel industry inspire everything they do. Which is why we see this partnership as testament to trivago’s value as a source of guidance for hoteliers.

Together trivago and the Institute of Hospitality will impart education about hotel marketing in the growing online space. Additionally, this partnership helps grant hoteliers immediate and exclusive access to trivago’s wealth of data and market insights.

The goal is to help hoteliers improve their hotel marketing efforts and tackle those issues most pertinent to them. The Institute’s close, daily interactions with its members act as a finger on the pulse of the real needs of hoteliers, enabling us to focus on and achieve that goal.

This year is shaping up to be a busy one. Our first webinar is on Tuesday 7 March 2017 at 3 p.m. UK time. In it, we’ll unravel the online distribution world for you, as well as give insights to inform your hotel marketing strategy and help you establish the most effective marketing mix for your hotel.
